Chris Anderson started his photography journey at a young age in eastern
Washington state, learning from his older brother who was an Emmy Award
winning professional photographer who had studied at Brooks institute of
Photography in Santa Barbara, California. At the age of fourteen he bought his first 35mm camera and learned to roll and develop his own film and prints. Chris continued to learn as a teacher’s assistant teaching darkroom at night school for adults while in high school. Chris’ learning continued though his world travels to over 25 countries. He teaches photography at the Suwanee Arts Center in Suwanee, GA were he currently serves on the board of directors for public relations.
His work has been featured in the Suwanee Magazine – Artist Spotlight (Jan-Feb 2020), International Landscape Photographer of the Year 2020 Top 101 Landscape Photographs (published by ILP 2021), Atlanta Celebrates Photography (2020 2nd Place Adults), Atlanta Airport (Atlanta Photography Group 2019, 2020, and 2021 juried by Amy Miller), People, Places, and Things (APG 2019 juried by Samuel Gerace III); Alan Avery Selects (APG 2019), and Francis Thomas’s Selects (APG 2020). His work has been displayed and has won a few local awards and recognition at the Suwanee Arts Center to include Featured Artist (October 2020), People’s Choice Photography Exhibition (2019), and Best in Class (Photography) Annual Members’ Exhibition (2019 and 2021). His work has also been published in Rangefinder Magazine Best Friends Competition (2nd place 2014) and highlighted in the following online publications: The Atlantic, Board Panda, My Modern Met, Tired Fox, MSN Daily Mail, Lense (France), Camera Nation (Iceland), Foto (Bealarus), Republic World (India), Cultura Inquieta (Italy), Tendencee (Brazil), Demotivateue (France), Breaking News (Ireland), Talk Talk (Inited Kingdom), Post Naver (South Korea), Korea Fotoscapes (South Korea), and News Chain (United Kingdom).
